Our Story

We are two British brothers at Brown University, two Jews on the heavyweight crew team, two outspoken and Zionist advocates for the state of Israel.

Following the terror attacks of October 7th 2023, the climate for Jews and Zionists across the world turned worryingly hostile – especially on college campuses.

We were invigorated by the crowds of supporters marching in Washington DC, but troubled that, as varsity athletes, we could not attend. We felt desperate to champion the cause in a way we knew how, to spread positivity both on and off the water.

Designs for the unisuit began.

Outpouring of Support

When a majority of our teammates, Jews and non-Jews alike, were eager to wear them too, we felt a special project was on the horizon. Acting on the initial wave of support, we reached out to some of our rowing peers at other universities to spread the word about the first order we were placing.

Then a photo of us wearing the unisuits was posted in a Mothers Against College Antisemitism Facebook Group. Demand surged.

And the movement was born.

As we embark on our final season, we want to maximize our expression and vocalize our identity towards Israel, whilst encouraging others to do the same. We hope you can join us on this journey.

Am Yisrael Chai.
